Hi, my name is Skye. I’ve been working at Warehouse One for four years. My favourite jean fit is the high rise skinny.
Finding the perfect pair of jeans can be daunting! Today we will highlight our four key jean styles, meaning you will be able to find a variety of these styles at all of our locations.
Our four main fits are Skinny, straight, baby boot, and the girlfriend fit.
Our classic skinnies are available in either mid-rise or high- rise in a variety of washes. A mid rise skinny will sit at or below your natural waistline (indicate on model where waistline is & where a mid rise would hit).
A high rise sits higher at the waist and really defines the curve of your hips & waist. This style is perfect for tucking in a drapey tee, or rocking a crop top.
The leg on a skinny fits slim through the thigh and tapers to hug the ankle at the bottom. A skinny can be worn tucked in to boots, worn shorter above the ankle, or cuffed.
Some things to look for when you’re shopping for a skinny –
Length – Skinny jean should hit just at your ankle or slightly above. Any longer and they will appear bunchy
Do the squat test – your skinnies should be comfortable and move with you! If you can’t sit, bend, squat, or have a dance party then try going up a size
Skinnies are a classic, universal fit that look great on everybody!
Our Classic Straight Jeans are available in a comfortable mid-rise in a soft inky wash denim and a more rugged vintage wash.
The leg on a classic straight jean has the same width from the knee to the leg opening hence the name "straight". They're perfect for anyone who wants a more relaxed fit than the skinny, but not a full wide leg or bootcut look. A straight jean is very on trend right now, but is a worthwhile investment piece that can take you from season to season.
Some things to look for when you’re shopping for a classic straight -
There are two ways to rock a straight jean. Traditionally, a full length straight should hit at the bottom of your shoe. A more fashion-forward look is a cropped straight which hits at the ankle. You can achieve this look by cuffing your full length straight, or simply buying a shorter inseam. Some of our fashion straight jeans come in an already cropped hem.
Our Collection of Fashion Straight Jeans are available in a variety of leg openings, from a slim straight to a baggier Dad jean. The lighter vintage washes & destruction make these styles perfect for spring & summer.
Our Baby Boot Jean is our most popular fit of all. The baby boot comes in a comfortable mid-rise in a variety of washes & treatments. They are always a good choice because this basic fit will always be in style.
The leg on a baby boot is fitted through the thigh and knee with a subtle, wider leg opening that’s just right for wearing with all your favorite shoes. From heels to wedges to boots to flats, they look good with everything.
Leg length on a baby boot jean is super important. You want your jean to skim the bottom of your shoe, but not bunch or drag on the ground.
Our Girlfriend Jeans have a slightly higher mid rise that is cut to sit higher on the hips, but not a true high rise.
The leg on the girlfriend jean is slightly relaxed through the thigh with a slimmer straight bottom. The girlfriend jean is designed to hug closer to your curves, unlike a boyfriend jean, which sits lower on the hips and is much more relaxed through the thigh.
Some tips for trying on the girlfriend jean – Some people like this style in a more oversized fit. We recommend trying your normal size, and a size up to see if you like the difference!
